Dee Why Beach Clean Up

We would like to thank all lovely crew members who came and helped clean up Dee Why beach yesterday. Over one hundred people turned up to give away some of their time on Sunday morning to make this planet and particularly our local area a better and more beautiful place to live. The crew is ALL OF US and we are so honoured and happy to getting to know more and more of you amazing people. Who would have thought that cleaning a beach could be so wonderful? Some of our interesting finds were a broken scooter, broken chairs, extremely old milk that made some of us gag (and laugh), a bicycle, real estate signs and the usual suspects; food wraps, cigarette butts, drink bottles, straws, cans and sadly a dead bird entangled in a balloon string. We'll be down at Manly beach front (South Steyne) next Sunday (1st of Dec between 10am - 4pm) as part of Manly Ocean Festival with an information stall (no clean up). We'd love to see you there. More than 30 environmental organisations will have stalls set up at this free event.
